Review: Resume AI Scanner

I am continuing to review new products that help you prepare for your interview. Today I am taking a quick look at what Resume AI Scanner can do.

Below I share the results of a tool that is meant to help interviewers come up with questions for candidates. I am not sure how many hiring managers are using it, but I found the results to be mostly relevant and seem to generate a good number of fairly relevant practice questions.

In real life, I might word the questions differently but the essence of the questions is fair game, given my resume.

Below is a list of questions it gave me after reading one version of my resume. I struck through the question I found absolutely a waste of time and not likely to be asked:

Questions

  1. Can you provide an example of a product development project you led that resulted in significant business growth?

  2. How do you approach building and leading high-performing teams?

  3. What strategies have you used to drive product innovation and improve user experiences?

  4. Can you share an example of a successful product measurement practice you implemented to align sales, marketing, data science, and product teams?

  5. How do you stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in the product management field?

  6. Tell me about a time when you faced challenges in cross-functional alignment and how you resolved them.

  7. Can you describe your experience in developing and launching new products or features?

  8. How do you approach strategic planning for product development and growth?

  9. Can you provide an example of a time when you coached and developed product managers to write compelling strategic plans?

  10. How do you foster collaboration and communication between product and sales functions to drive business success?

If you are looking to warm up before a hiring manager screen, I highly recommend Resume AI Scanner. If the questions it generates are entirely off base, you might want to look at tools like CoverQuick to re-write your resume to be more in line with the roles you are seeking.

In short, for the task of interview prep, Resume AI Scanner is a simple and effective website. This seems to be a teaser example of what the technology can do: let you ask questions of a PDF document. Not sure how long it will remain, but use it while you can.
