Tell Me About Yourself

When answering the “Tell Me About Yourself” prompt, you want to focus on the most important things you have done that are relevant to the job or role.

Don’t

  • Do NOT start with deep history

  • Do Not start with college coursework (unless APM/internship)

  • Do Not focus on experience that isn’t relevant to the role

  • Don’t try and tell them everything you have ever done

Do

  • Do talk about most recent experiences

  • Do share significant, measurable high-level outcomes you drove

  • Do customize your delivery to the role at hand

  • Do leave out non-relevant experiences

  • Do focus on the skill sets they need to hear in your current role
