No Partner: There is no one 'mocking' the ‘candidate’. I go through the motions assuming the answer to all questions is “You decide.” There are no probing questions from an interviewer.
Follow Along: The recording is set up to allow you to work alongside by pausing OR to just listen/view like a podcast, it is up to you. Leverage it for your preferred learning style.
The Recording
In this section, I share feedback on the key elements and sections of the mock interview.
Some points have already been covered in the recording, some are new observations.

Experience >> Shopping Therapy or Social Event - Dual Purpose
Convenience >> It is around the corner, I need current trends aggressive
No Choice >> Can't wait for delivery, etc. but simple solutions would likely work
-
designed for traffic flow
checkout, not experience
want to be unique
want to share
can't find size >> directed to go online
want boutique experience everywhere
-
Make shopping an experience that entertains
-
1. 3D Printing + Social - Novel and immediate, playing on current trends
2. AR + Big Screen Social - Leverage new tech that is novel and still to expensive for the home, create experience
3. Robot Stylist - deals with employee shortage, is novel but maybe not perfect. Interacting with robots a bit creepy but robots to fill dressing rooms is kinda nice and more efficient, thus better experience
-
Ranking >> Impact >> Engineering
1. 3D Printing >> H > H
2. AR Show >> H > MH
3. Robot >> M > H
3D wins with a focus on a unique experience that has the benefit of being a green trend.
-
# of 3D products sold per day to people coming to store
# of social mentions per day per customer experiencing
# of return visitors per month
avg number of total items purchased per guest with instore experience
Thoughts
My instincts want to make # of 3D printed products sold the north star, but if my goal is about the experience, then # of social mentions might be a better proxy of the experience, was it enjoyable enough to share in this world where most people share all on social media.
