AI Review: Chatbots

In this article, which I will update as I go, I am tracking my effort to add a plug-and-play AI Chatbot to my website. I am doing this as part of product sense lessons to help you think critically about products as you prepare for interviews.

Diddo

I have evaluated this product based on User interface issues and business model questions. It seems promising, but I have a Squarespace website and there are NO instructions. It looks as if they are really only targeting developers.

Product Sense Evaluation

  • Terrible (non-existent) User Documentation

  • Chatbot answers within their site are nearly useless, but like all AI Chatbots it sounds confident

  • Takes forever (5+ minutes an I gave up)

  • Never work got it to answer a question

  • Seems like a hackathon project not a product

Freemium Note

  • Monetization Model: Fremium

  • BUT it is not giving enough in freemium level so that I can test if it works. For example:

    • I can’t change color on interface (never takes my changes)

    • I can’t add my logo (will not upload png and gives no error message)

    • I have to pay to link my website, if I can’t do the basics I will not do that.

  • Therefore it will not lead to future sales

  • Yet the prominently advertise referral commissions

Example of the iFrame version (chat bubble that I want wasn’t possible). Good luck getting any results.
