Product Sense: Strategic Checklist
This is a simple checklist for the strategic setup. You don’t always have time but when you do, hitting these covers most of your bases. Practice. See what is reasonable without talking too fast.
What is the product?
Why does it exist?
Who is the competition? Strengths/Weaknesses
What market trends are relevant and important?
What is the mission of company?
How might tackling this space help spin the flywheel?
Who are the Stakeholders? Which one do you want to focus on solving for? Why?
Share your initial thoughts on user goals.
Share biz goals (if necessary). Be cautious here, don’t sound too MBA-focused.
Again, if you try to tackle everything, it might be too much. But it is a nice checklist when time allows.
