Google Workspace Fail

Dear Google Workspace,

What were you thinking upgrading the price without just putting the price in my email? You raised my monthly price from $6 per month to $7.20 per month. You send me the following email.

But NO WHERE in the email did you post the price! You made me go through a horrible experience where I had to be logged in to an admin panel on my desktop to see the information.

What was a small, reasonable increase made me mad because you made it so difficult to find.

I can’t imagine what made you decide to do this, I can only guess a lawyer was involved. And you made giving feedback so complex that few people will tell you how pissed off they are. That doesn’t help you build trust with SMBs.

If you are a PM reading this for interview advice, this is a great example of how NOT to handle a pricing change. The discussion could come up in a Craft & Execution or Pricing interview.
